ONWARD
2025 Harbor View Annual Report
LETTER FROM OUR PARTNERS
Onward: The Next Chapter of Harbor View
2025 was a year where conviction met opportunity. After a stretch of choppy markets, M&A activity found its footing, and our clients and team rose to meet it with the same grit, creativity, and care that have defined Harbor View from day one - driving outcomes that materially change the lives of the founders and investors we serve:
Our Buy-side work drove multiple unique outcomes across financial services, consulting, ERP, clinical research and appraisal services with our PE clients including Gryphon, Tenex, Reynolda and consulting firm Baringa.
Notable Sell-side closings included the B2B Tech & Services team leading Benepath's sale to Smart Financial, WorkHound's sale to WorkStep and Tower MSA Partners exit. The Industrials team led Major Turbine's sale to Enceladus Partners and James D. Hinson Electrical Contracting's sale to GreenArrow.
Our momentum continued to build throughout the year - with new teammates, marquee new client mandates, launching a revamped HVA website, and opening our New York City office - not just as milestones, but as deliberate investments in a platform built to move onward. We also powered up a new generation of AI tools through our HVAi initiative, sharpening how we research, diligence, and execute so our bankers can spend more time on the judgment and relationships that move outcomes.
Looking to 2026. The pipeline is the strongest it has been in our history, and the tailwinds - sponsor capital, market consolidation, and perhaps a more constructive financing backdrop - are lining up nicely with our core domains.
We expect more from us in the year ahead: new partners, new markets, new senior talent, deeper sector coverage, and continued investment in the platform that makes HVA a category-defining M&A advisor for founder-led and sponsor-backed businesses.
To our clients, industry partners, and team - thank you. For the commitment, the late nights and the celebrations. We take very seriously the privilege of playing a role in the most important moments of our clients' life work.
Onward, with momentum and grit.
The Partners
STAYING TRUE TO OUR WHY
We founded Harbor View with a straightforward ideal: bring the discipline of Wall Street to the founders and operators on Main Street. We saw a gap in how the founders were being treated. We didn’t realize then, what has become so illuminating now. It takes an entire firm to deliver great outcomes. The more we grow, the more reinforcing our culture becomes, the better we become at the craft of investment banking and the greater the reference power of our clients. Eighteen years later, our "foundations" are unchanged. We focus on high-caliber execution and deep relationships because we know that for our clients, these aren't just deals - they are the most important moments of their professional lives. Markets will shift, but our commitment to driving the best possible outcomes when it matters most remains the anchor of everything we do.
We Launched A New Website Experience
We are proud to launch the new Harbor View Advisors website. A dynamic platform designed to showcase the insights, expertise, and relationships that drive exceptional outcomes for our clients. More than a digital presence, the site serves as a vehicle for thought leadership across the sectors we know best, a window into our deep experience in both sell-side and buy-side advisory, and a resource for founders, operators, investors, and strategic acquirers navigating critical growth and transaction decisions. Most importantly, it reflects the talented team behind Harbor View. Professionals who combine institutional-caliber execution with industry expertise and a relentless commitment to helping clients create and realize value.
Whether it is improving existing operations, creating liquidity for owners or growing through acquisition, it helps to work with someone who knows your industry and has done it all before, and many times over.
Sell-Side Practice - New Partnerships, Continued Expansion
In 2025, we established several new strategic partnerships expanding our sell-side prospect outreach. The most exciting of which was with one of the top 10 wealth management firms in the country. The relationship provides for great overlap between the wealth management firms’ estimated 750,000 business owners and Harbor View’s industry coverage. Separately, we expanded our sponsor coverage initiative supporting underserved middle and lower middle market private equity firms. In addition to generating both sell-side and buy-side opportunities, these relationships provide for inter-firm collaboration, lead generation, and the sharing of sector trends, valuation, and expertise.
We were excited to help clients achieve successful closings across a range of industries this year, including James D. Hinson–GreenArrow, Major Turbine–Enceladus Partners, WorkHound–WorkStep, Benepath–Smart Financial, and Tower MSA Partners–Ambler Brook.
Buy-Side Practice – Intensity Rising into 2026 and Beyond
2025 was a record year for our Buy-Side practice, with demand from private equity sponsors and strategic clients driving a pace that has carried straight into 2026. We have leaned into AI-enabled sourcing, proprietary research, and applied analytics. We are driving outcomes in emerging niche markets including behavioral health technology, AI-enabled field services, and specialized segments of HCM such as compensation and PEO. We also signed new international clients seeking to enter the U.S. staffing and HCM software markets.
Recent closings include Rootstock Software–Ascent Solutions, Conquest Research–NeuroTrials Research, and BELAY–Fully Accountable - each extending a client’s investment into new capabilities, customers, or end markets. We expect our Buy-Side momentum to continue as sponsors focus on add-ons to drive value creation, and new platform opportunities.
OUR INDUSTRY FOCUS - 2025 AREAS OF EMPHASIS
B2B Tech & Services
We're seeing strong demand as organizations adapt to AI-driven change, while continuing to build momentum across HR Tech, EdTech, and workforce solutions. We're also expanding our reach across enterprise software, cloud, cybersecurity, and partner ecosystems, with sustained interest in CFO services driven by ongoing M&A activity.
Industrials
We're expanding our focus across key Industrials subsectors, including perimeter security, flow control, and water & wastewater, while continuing to grow our buy-side advisory practice. Increased investment in industry events, partnerships, and team expansion is positioning us for continued growth and higher levels of buy-side and sell-side activity in 2026.
Financial Services & Technology
We're seeing continued momentum across FinTech, Retirement Services, Wealth Management, and Insurance Distribution as firms adapt to evolving market dynamics and consolidation trends. At the same time, we're expanding our industry presence through thought leadership and key conferences while closely tracking the growing impact of AI across financial services.
